(no subject)
I've been doing some research. I'll have extra time between graduation and starting grad school. I had originally planned to start at the University of SC fall of 2009. However, bc of recent developments, USC is no longer an option. So, now I'm looking at UMiami. Which, ok, it's a better school anyway. However, now I'm looking at a start date of Fall 2010!
I've had a few ideas as to what I'd like to do with this time. Work, extra schooling (I'd like my undergrad certificate in women's studies), OR the peace corps! YES! the fucking peace corps! And, the more I look into the peace corps, the more I want to do it. I'd love to just pick up and leave for a couple of years. Not only that, but my heart is honestly in international economic development. it's what attracted me to econ.
I need to make up my mind soon. I guess I have no real reason not to do it. It's something i've always wanted to do, but never took it any further bc I didn't want to leave my ex for such a long period of time. But, now? It's time for me to do what I want. I want to be a little selfish. LOL Leave it to ME to want to be selfish by joining the peace corps.
