So, I realised I haven't really made any posts about my life lately so I'm going to fix that now.
School
I've made it through the first term of year 12 without a major breakdown, although, I was verging on one last Thursday, the second last day of school. I was in such a bad mood that nobody "messed with me" all day. By that I mean people always have snarky comments to make at me, usually because I'm so snarky and cynical myself, and on that day no one said anything. I didn't realise just how obvious my bad mood was but, apparently, my dad knew I was pissed off before I even did. Not to mention, when I turned up at school at lunch the next day all my friends were like "OMG Lauren are you OK?!". They sounded like they were afraid I'd killed myself or something. Haha, opps.
Anyway, feeling much better now. I really needed these holidays.
However, these holidays also mean that I only have eight or nine weeks until mid-year exams (OMFG!). Yay.
Health
I think I'm getting a cold or something. Like a stress cold. Sore throat, runny/blocked nose, etc. Also, I keep getting styes in my eye. THEY ARE SO IRRITATING! And the stress headaches. WHY DOES STRESS AFFECT THE BODY SO MUCH?!
Fangasm
Ok so, this year I am all-of-the-suddenly obsessed with V8 Supercars. I mean, I've always liked them but now it's like "HOMGZ 11 DAYS TIL HAMILTON YO!" and...IDEK. I think it has something to do with Mark Winterbottom. Actually it has a lot to do with Mark Winterbottom. He's my favourite see. He's kind of extremely awesome. But I don't like him for purely shallow reasons. I don't even find him physically attractive (except for when he stands next to really short women because then he looks so tall, even though he's not even 6", and OMGILOVEATALLMANOK!....and he has like, ridiculously long eyelashes but w/e.) but I do think he's completely adorable and, also, he's a really good driver to watch, unlike Jamie Bloody Whincup who totally does not deserve the #1 on his windscreen (and is a sleazy douche, btw)...What was I talking about? Right, Mark Winterbottom.
Anyway, I found out Mark has twitter so I decided to actually start using my twitter so that I could stalk him. So that's
here if anyone wants to "follow" me for any reason.
I've made like...40-something V8 Supercar related icons which I don't think anyone cares about but I LIKE THEM OK! (That batch is up to about 90 now, I'll post it sometime I swear...it's not just supercars)
Other fan related things: I spent the weekend catching up on Gossip Girl, Packed to the Rafters, and Private Practice and I have a few things to say about those things:
- Packed to the Rafters makes me cry an inordinate amount of tears for like, no apparent reason. Seriously, in the season finale when Ben says "You're an incredible mum", or whatever he says, I started bawling my eyes out. I was like "OMG! *sob* Ben is such a sweetie! *sob* I can't believe Julie and Dave are keeping the baby! *sob* I'm so glad Nathan and Sami are back together! *sob*". Sad but true. Also I really love Nathan now that he's stopped being a massive tool. Seriously he is so adorable. Especially with Sami. "I have callouses!"
- Gossip Girl: I'm only ever into this show when I'm actually watching it. Like right now I can't get excited about it but when I'm watching it it's like "BEST SHOW EVER!". WTF is going on with Blair and Nate though. Seriously. Blair/Chuck and Nate/Vanessa are like, the two best things on that show and now they've fucked both of them up AT THE SAME TIME! I will admit I am kind of fond of Chuck/Vanessa though...
- Private Practice: No tears for the last three eps of Practice, thank god (I was congested enough from all that inexplicable crying over PTTR). My thoughts on Noah: at first I thought he was a bit ugly but he's growing on me. He actually looks pretty hot now. And what about Dell? I really didn't expect him to give up on Betsy so easily. I thought he might chase them down and talk to Heather until he at least got those holidays and weekends you know? My heart broke for him when he actually cried about it. "Your baby's gone. She's not coming back". Oh Dell!
I had other things to say but Good News Week: The Best Of is on and I can't be bothered.
ETA: Also, the other day I noticed that Lee Holdsworth is all kinds of adorable...or at least, you know, from some angles.
I think it's the eyes. They're all shiny and brown. You can't really see in this shrunken picture but there's just something in his eyes that makes me swoon a little bit. Too bad he drives a Holden.
