V8 Supercars Championship 2009, Races 1 and 2, the Clipsal 500.
I spent my weekend watching the first races of the new series of V8 Supercars and can I say oh my god what's with all the rule changes?!
The non-compulsory pit stop window is good, I like that. It's like the only rule change I'm actually in favour of.
I'm rather indifferent towards the new tyre rules as well as the limitations to pit crew etc. and the new E85 petrol.
The qualifying rule, however, is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS! Seriously. I mean, it was good for Frosty because he ended up back in like 24th after Race 1 and got to start Race 2 in 5th but it sucks for the guys who aren't good qualifiers. It's like Cam McConville said, the championship goes to the best racer, not the best qualifier.
Speaking of champions, Jamie Whincup SHITS ME UP THE WALL. Sure he's a good driver and he's on my team and everything but he's just a massive tool.
I was completely shattered though, when I found out Will Davison changed to HRT. WHY WILL? WHY? Will is an awesome driver, one of my favourites, and now I can't support him because he DRIVES A HOLDEN! It's the same with his teammate Garth Tander, awesome driver, wrong team. God, they're like my dream team. If only they drove for Ford.
On the subject of awesome drivers: Mark Winterbottom. I have a soft spot for ol' Frosty. The man is an excellent driver but something always goes wrong for him and it's almost never his fault. Like when Shane Van Gisbergen spent him into a wall (at which point I'm yelling "WTF? GIS YOU BITCHFACE!!!" because, seriously, what the hell)

And WTF is with Gary Rodgers' bling? Seriously dude, you're like a million years old!
Yeah...that's really all I have to say. In other news I've started watching Lie To Me and Reaper, both of which are awesome.
