I taught myself everything. I was a lot younger when I got started - which was around 14 (11 years ago!!!), but I was always drawing, or painting until my dad brought home a COMPUTER. I sat there all night and created things, without sleep. And that passion continued! I was in a band  at the time, and started asking friends, bandmates etc if they needed any help with design for their merch and also did my own band's design. It just flew on from there. Before I knew it, I was doing work all the time, and with more and more work, I got more practice and knowledge. I learned a lot about the industry, clients, timelines, design principles, print info, PATIENCE, from just doing it on my own, and that's something that you could never learn from any school. This all revolves around passion! If you have the drive for something you love, you will build on it and continue, and become a better designer overall.

It wasn't until I was 19 that I decided I should go to school - mainly just to have it on paper, because agencies are PICKY!  I attended North Harris College, in Spring - my degree is in Interactive Media with a specialty in E-Business Webdesign. It was a REALLY GOOD school. I loved the teachers the most. They are very knowledgable and respect all aspects of styles. Most schools have restrictions and guidelines. I've heard terrible things about UofH and Art Institute. North Harris is cost-friendly, the teachers are awesome, and the classes are fun! I loved it there! I wish I could go back
