Friday Summary: First Edition

May 06, 2011 08:50

Note:

I am starting a weekly tradition of a Friday "This week in summary" post. (Because I miss people, I miss knowing what's going on with people, but especially because I simply do not have the spoons to keep up with LJ the way I used to when I sat a desk all day.)

The idea is that everyone takes time on Friday to post *something* - a week in summary, a random thought, an upcoming plan. Hell, a quiz result. And we all also make a point of checking LJ Friday or soon thereafter. And maybe comment, er something, just to make posting to LJ feel less like calling out into an empty theatre. If you choose to participate, please spread the word.

And now onto Wit's life, a (relatively) brief catch-up summary. Keeping in mind of course that I haven't really posted in months or so.

I'm still home with the twins full time and have been since they were born almost 3 years ago. This has been hard. There are a couple of job nibbles a month (if I'm lucky), none of which have manifested into an actual job.

The twins are extremely cute and active and mischevious and smart, if I do say so myself. They sing to each other all the time and are, in general, pretty happy little guys. I will try to get pictures off the camera and onto some web-accessable location real soon now.

Boo is now 15, taller than me, and a freshman in high school. He's still having pretty significant behavior issues with control and temper, but we still have hope.

Balth is fairly stressed, in no small part because being a full-time stay at home Mom makes me a bit of a crazy person. But he is also as awesome and gorgeous and funny and clever as always. (Hi honey!!)

I'm trying to get organized and do the To Do list thing. And get the house clean. And write on a regular basis. If I succeed at any of these in the near future, I'll let you know.

Staying busy (hear: escaping) through reading pretty voraciously and watching a lot of shows, including new Doctor Who (bounce bounce), The Killing, Game of Thrones, Glee, Fringe, Supernatural, etc. New Sookie Stackhouse just came out this week and a new Kate Daniels comes out at the end of the month. Kindle is Eeeeevil. DVR is also eeeeevil.

Not sure what I'm up to this weekend for Mom's day. Balth has encouraged me at length to come up with something fun to do for one or both days. Still pondering. Maybe I'll go outside and actually spend some time in the sun yet not on a playground.

And that's the news.
