On Friday, my computer apparently had a virus, which from all I could tell, just made it so I couldn't connect to the internet. I am pretty sure that is all it did. Yesterday my friend Stephen was nice enough to fix my computer for by reformatting it. This would have been easier had Vista not been a stupid OS and been partitioned weirdly. He tried to reformat it with Vista and it wouldnt work easily. Like it would have taken a lot more time, like a whole day to fix it with Vista. So we scraped Windows altogether and I am officially running Linux now. I have have had my computer back since midnight of last night (meaning could connect to the internet). So far I like Linux, it's reasonably pretty, run faster than Vista did and the layout makes a lot more sense and things are easier to find and do on it. I also did get some joy of killing windows again :P
So I am back online now. I got anti-virus software on this computer. I had Norton on my computer with Vista, and it didn't even catch the damned virus. We are pretty sure it was a virus. But not 100%. I now have the ClamAV thing on here as Stephen said it was the Linux anti-virus software. So yea. My computer is doing well again...actually, better than it was even when I first got it. So everyone should get Linux. :D
On the work front...I got the transfer I requested. I started at the other store yesterday and worked 11-4. I ended up staying 15 minute late due to the line of customers we had. But I really like the store. I actually enjoyed working for the first time in a long time. I didn't feel like beating people....or swearing profusely....the co-workers I have met seem to be really nice people, as are the four managers I now know in the store. Two of them I knew previously. So I am very happy with my decision to transfer to that store now. :) I am also getting more hours at this store this week than I have gotten in the old store in a long time. My other store manager was only scheduling 9-15 hours a week. This week I am scheduled 26 hours and that was with just being added the schedule after it was already done. So woot. :D
Saturday I went to Elmira for the first reenactment of the season. I got to meet the baby of a couple of my friends who do reenactments, Their son is named Zach (They are Karen & Mark). He was a cute little guy. I also got to see Stephen and Malinda's daughter Maggie again. :) Malinda is due to have her second baby later this month. So that is exciting.
Friday night my mom went to the hospital with a lot of pain in her neck. It was to the point where she could barely walk. Found out she had some weird infection. She is on antibiotics now and is doing a lot better.
So yea. Right now, life is good. :)
