last update (I hope)
if everything goes well we'll be leaving Tokyo tomorrow morning. I gave up meeting with friends tonight because of rumors of "acid rain" and news of the latest explosion. Basically we've been hiding out in the hotel watching TV. Went to the convenient store in the basement and stocked up for tonight ><

I haven't been able to check my flist much (one laptop here for four people) but it seems like a lot of people are doing their part to help :) my cousin saw on the news that Japan's only received a tenth of what Haiti got in the initial days of its quake which is understandable because it's so much more developed but it still needs all the help it can get :(
