New projects.
Upcycling? Is that what it's called? Repurposing?
When I was working at Zumiez I couldn't ever control myself when it came to buying t-shirts. I had hundreds of graphic tees. I still have a ton, because I'm really attached. But most don't fit me anymore, because GUESS WHAT?!? Your body changes after you have a kid... and sometimes, you get HIPS!!!
So I can't really wear normal t-shirts anymore. But I have a ton and I love them. I've been slowly donating some here and there and letting Izze wear them for nightgowns.
But I've really wanted to learn to make those darling shirt dresses.
(darling... to me, Jeremy thinks they look like a poor kid who lives in a car).
I'm not quite ready for the multiple shirts dress yet, but I thought I'd give this one a try. I didn't do too bad. I definitely want a cutting mat and rotary cutter. But Izze is love with her new dress and I can't wait to try another and then move on to more fancy ones!

I'm not ready for the ruffles and roses yet, but I think this dress is incredibly cute.

I really want to try this one, but I think I'm a few years away.
I still have to rip out the arm pits and make them longer, but Izze won't take it off! :) Too bad I got rid of my Lionel Richie shirt... it would have made a KILLER shirt dress!
