The other night we were walking about at Walgreens with my BIL getting Percocet for my SIL who has a clogged milk duct...Well as we were leaving my husband was holding my hand and I'm just in complete awe of the medications and lotions and salves...(I have PUPPPs, but I will get into that later.) When I run into a pole - gut first. Now I'm not dying of embarrassment, as the pharmacist asks me if I'm okay, I start freaking out because I seriously felt my baby girl shoved into me. My husband pulls me close and I'm weeping and freaking out that I've hurt my baby. She didn't move for what I believe was five minutes. Its been exactly 24 hours since the incident and she's moving, but I still feel guilty and a little worried. Now I know I shouldn't panic as I have no symptoms of pain or bleeding...I'm still going to mention it to my midwife none the less. But I keep comparing it to the impact of a steering wheel in a car accident which makes me all the more sad and well like a bad mother.
Now on to the PUPPPs thing. It hasn't officially been diagnosed but I know the difference...Its disheartening that there is no remedy to it. AND it may occur again even after the baby is born! So, I bought Grandpa's Pine Tar Oil Bar, Hydrocortisone, and some Eucerin samples that my co worker gave me (his second job is working with a dermatologist), I'm also using a combination of Johnson & Johnson's Baby Oil with Aloe Vera and Vitamins, Vitamin E and Baby Powder. But my question is, as I have found conflicting information on the internet, some articles say; ointment is the key, do not scratch. While others say; keep it dry do not keep moist as it worsens the condition and yet still do not scratch...Let me tell you when I scratch, it is amazing. It seriously feels euphoric. I think masturbation and sex have taken second place in regards to satisfaction...sad I know...
