Does the pain start around ten to fifteen minutes after eating? I had that when I was incredibly stressed prior to my oral exam (which also happened to be at three weeks postpartum). It could be useful to rule out a gastritis or - in a worse case - a small stomach lining ulceration or a helicobacter pylori infection. If it is one of these, the doctor might recommend a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) like omeprazol (not sure what it is called in English), a substance that is considered first line therapy for reflux oesophagitis during pregnancy in trimesters 2&3 (helicobacter would require a heavier protocol and a triple therapy with antibiotics). There are certain contraindications like preexisting liver diseases for PPI, so you shouldn't just get it OTC but check with the doc first. Gastritis can also contribute to anemia.
In my case, it didn't matter what I ate or how much, just the intake of food would result in strong postprandial stomach pain with a latency of 15 minutes, when the acid secretion was likely peaking. I had days when a glass of tea would cause that. o_O In the end I didn't medicate, because it gradually got better as the state exam passed (and I had no time for doctors' visits in the last three weeks of cramming! Or call that "cramming", because you only have so many hours to learn with a fresh infant), which also fits a stomach lining irritation. I have to add that I'm known for my iron stomach, so getting this pain meant something was really out of the ordinary.
On a side note, during another pregnancy I had to substitute iron when anemic, and it caused so much stomach and gut pain. But that was independently of eating. It's a known side effect, though.
