I'm 20 weeks today with Grapple Loader (another boy, we found out last week), so hooray for halfway!
I'm 5'2", and started off my pregnancy at an uncomfortable 140 lbs. I lost five pounds during my first trimester from preggo nausea, and then another four pounds from horrendous food poisoning/stomach bug at 13 weeks. Since that time, I've only regained about five or six pounds. I'm not super-worried, since I'm feeling okay apart from a bit of toddler fatigue, but I'm wondering if I should be expecting a sudden jump in weight or what. Last pregnancy I lost 10 lbs too, and IIRC I'd regained it all by about 20 weeks, but every pregnancy is different, yadda yadda.
So we had the morphology scan last week and everything looked good. The baby seems a teensy bit smaller than Henry was at the same time (his scan was at 18+6, and he was 14 cm, this one was at 19+3 and he was 13 cm). I'm wondering if this is because of my slow weight re-gain, or just because it's a different baby or what? Our appointment with the midwife is this week, so I'll discuss it with her, but I'm just looking for your thoughts.
Also, nothing is tasting as good as the things I'm not supposed to have. I had an ice-cold Coke this morning, and although I meant to savour it because it was the last one in the fridge leftover from Christmas, I downed that sucker in about five minutes and it was goddamned delicious. Almost as delicious was the tuna sushi I had at dinner Saturday night, and the deli ham sandwich I had for lunch that same day, and the the ounce of red wine I nursed for three hours Friday evening. All I need is some toast with unpasteurized honey and I've got Taboo Bingo.
Man, I want another Coke... Gah.
ETA: I'm not succumbing to my cravings for the forbidden as much as that last paragraph suggested, it was just a really long week.
