What is this pain in my leg?

My doctor said that his best guess was the my uterus is pressing on a nerve, and he's probably right, but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this kind of pain and if they figured out a good way to deal with it.
I get this terrible pain that aches down my leg from my lowest back, almost my sacrum, to my ankle. It's most painful in the lower back/hip and thigh. I can barely get in a good position to help the pain, and sometimes walking helps, but sometimes it makes it worse. With my first pregnancy, for the last few months I had some moderate SPD, but this is totally different. That was the front of my pelvis, and hurt most when I tried to roll over while lying down or stand up from a sitting position. Honestly, the only way I can get relief from this pain is by sitting up with a really straight back, almost curving it inward, and I try to make a conscious effort to sit this way, but I can't sleep like this. If anyone has any great advice or commiseration, that would be wonderful.
