BAM!
I'm a little late to do this, but oh well. Life is hectic with a newborn! I don't have a birth story written out yet, I'll get to it eventually!
Benjamin Alexander Mapp, my little baby BAM was born June 28 at 8:36 AM via scheduled c-section (due to breech presentation) weighing in at 10 lbs, 12 ounces and 21.5 inches long! His size was a shock to everyone in the nursery (nicknamed "big ben") and in the operating room!
Now just a question for anyone who had to have a c-section. Lately as more and more of my friends are approaching their due dates and are able to have a normal, vaginal delivery, I find myself becoming jealous...jealous that I didn't get to experience contractions, laboring, water breaking, etc. Is that normal? I'm happy because I have my beautiful baby boy, but still feeling a little sad about the whole laboring process...
