I am 8 weeks postpartum and have a low-lying uterus that has not gone back to its regular size. I also have weak Kegel muscles. I get really weary during vaginal exams (and needles, anything medical, really...) so I sort of stared at my midwife blankly as she was telling me this.

My partner and I have not started having vaginal sex again, although we've been intimate... and until this appointment, I was really looking forward to having sex. Now I'm petrified.

Aside from drinking raspberry leaf tea and doing more Kegel exercises (I REALLY didn't do much for the first 6-7 weeks...) is there anything I can do?

As a side note, I stopped bleeding only one-week postpartum and had a really great start to my uterus replacing itself. I breastfeed exclusively and on demand. I had a 26-hour labour with 11 hours of active labour and 5 hours of pushing.

Thanks!
