I agree. Add to it that it isn't even a real reason. :/

You'll likely get more judgement than advice for having an elective c-section.

I see your point, but I figured some would ask anyway so I just put in what is going on. I guess, to me, it is a personal decision that everyone woman makes for themselves and their child and just because someone disagrees with it does not mean it is wrong.

it's a "personal" decision that is driving up healthcare costs for everyone who pays an insurance premium.

sorry, but I do get a bit pissy every time I see someone unnecessarily choosing the most expensive path to take (not to mention the possible additional costs of complications from the surgery) when insurance won't pay even one cent on my home birth, which is by the way the safest AND least expensive path to take.

Yeah, I would just rather hear advice about the process and recovery. And I completely understand what you mean by people giving their opinions and that is ok, everyone has opinions about everything so I expected it.

Another thing, make sure you bring a hairdryer with a cool setting to help dry your incision after showers. I've also heard of some people using maxi pads over their incision to keep it dry.

Agreed, I used the gauze to protect it from my waistband on my pants. I gently pat dried it for weeks (actually, I made my husband do that so he could visually inspect it daily) and the hairdryer idea is a smart one. Do what feels comfortable, heck I didn't wear pants at home for weeks, just the underwear with pads,a tank top and a robe. My guests didn't even notice as they were too occupied with the baby lol
