I think by now it would be mostly healed. Possibly one of the dissovable stitches popped instead of dissolving? If you're not bleeding or in any extra pain, I think it's probably healing up fine and you won't need to be re-stitched or anything. :)

see im not sure about the bleeding because i still have lochia goo as I call it.. its not really blood its just sort of gooey and weird. There is still some pain in the area but not like it was just if i move in a funny position or something but otherwise nothing has been like OMG THAT HURTS! ya know? I was kind of thinking one of them might have poped instead of dissolved but wasn't sure if that was a bad thing or not lol.

Okay, I'm loling at myself because of the bleeding comment. My kids ate my brain and I forgot about the lochia part of birth. haha.

I had that happen too. I pretty much determined that one of the dissolvable stitches was stubborn and finally jumped ship. Mine happened about 3-4 weeks PP. The NYSE line basically said that if it's not a gaping hole or bleeding then it will be fine. Just be gentle and use your peri bottle a lot.

It could just be some dried blood that popped off when your skin stretched a little. I've had that happen when I was on my period before (obviously didn't think a stitch had popped because I didn't HAVE any) and I'd imagine it might feel similar. The skin where it had popped off of even felt rather tender for a little bit.

I'm not sure if a stitch popped or if a part of my tear just didn't heal right, but at my 3 week pp checkup, I still had a bit of a tear left. We left it alone and it finally stopped stinging at 11 weeks pp (incidentally, the same day I started my period for the first time was the first time it stopped stinging - I'm convinced menstruation now has magical healing properties :P)

At my 6 week check up my midwife saw where I had "lost a stitch" so it's possible. Not much you can do about it, tho.
