So tomorrow my baby will be 1 week old. I had an exciting but challenging labor due to high blood pressure. I had no other symptoms of preeclampsia (no protien in my urine, my blood work was perfect, no other signs) just the super high bp. They had me on Magnesium Sulfate to keep it down along with some shots and here I am 6 days later and it's gone down a lot but still high. I also developed anemia after my labor. They have me on 325mgs of iron. I'm on bed rest and just walking to the bathroom and back is exhausting.
Has anyone else dealt with PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension) and post-partum anemia only to come out ok? I'm just frustrated and still a little scared. I just want to hear stories of women who had what I had/have and what they went through and that they came out ok. Maybe share how long it took you to feel normal and anything special you did or didn't do to help the healing process? How long before your bp was back to normal? How about anemia, how long before your blood was back to normal? Any weird things that happened because of it?
Other than that, my labor was magical and my baby is magical and I'm in heaven :)
Thanks ladies!
