one of my MIL's friends got us this pregnancy journal:
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Pregnancy-Journal/A-Christine-Harris/e/9780811869898 it's pretty neat, and has a ton of info on the baby's development and such for every day, and a lot of info on foods to eat or stuff to do to stay healthy during the pregnancy.
a lot of the food-related stuff is particular towards a specific sort of lifestyle though, from what i've noticed so far, and there are a few parts where it'll say something but it doesn't really tell you why. one in particular is that it says i should be eating "tree nuts every other day (just not daily)."
i'm curious... why?? my horribly inept google skills have told me that nuts during pregnancy apparently are linked to an increased risk of asthma in children. regardless of whether or not that's true, i haven't been able to find why i would WANT to make a point of incorporating them into my diet. i'm not, like, horribly against eating them or anything, and i'm not allergic to them, but i'm just really curious since it doesn't say why i should want to eat them on a regular basis.
i was hoping that some of you might know and could satiate my curiosity :)
