sleep patterns

This is probably a really dumb question to ask, but I'm curious. I keep hearing that babies tend to be born somewhat nocturnal because the movement of mom during the day puts them to sleep and the resting at night wakes them up.

Well here's my situation. I work third shift right now, and plan on working until the last possible moment, then I'm leaving my job. Once the boy is born I'll be staying at home while I finish my degree online, so I'll be back on a regular first shift schedule with the baby.

Are all my years of working odd hours going to finally pay off by having a baby that just might sleep at night? He's pretty inactive while I'm at work, but I'm also walking around a lot. Once I sit down I usually get a few kicks or jabs but not much. I'm only 23w5d so the movement isn't strong enough to wake me up while I'm sleeping yet, but since I'm off of work this week I've been staying awake more during the day and I can feel more movements during the day.

Anyone else have experience with a situation like this? I know we'll find out soon enough, but I can't help but wonder!
