Woohoo!

Had my doctor's appointment today and I'm 1cm dilated!! I never thought I'd be so excited to hear something like that. The cervical check was super uncomfortable, the only one so far that actually felt like that. Maybe because I was actually dilated this time for it? But yikes, talk about getting all up close and personal haha.

Tomorrow night we go into the hospital at 6:30pm to get the foley balloon inserted and we'll be sent home. I'm not too sure how this works exactly. I'm trying to avoid googling things about it because I don't want to freak myself out. I have a friend that had it done, she said it wasn't too bad. The doc said I just come back when I'm having contractions? She assured me she'll go over all the details with me tomorrow night so I guess I'll find out. Anyone else have any experiences with this at all?

I feel much more confident about this type of induction than any of the others. It seems like the most "natural" way to medically induce out of the other options. I'm sure there's still a chance they might have to use pitocin or break my water when we get to the hospital but hopefully my body will deciede there's no need. :) I've been having a lot of cramping, more than ever, the past few days. So hopefully my body will be more cooperative with this whole thing. Either way I feel good about it. I'm very excited that within the next few days, I'll finally be able to hold my little boy!!

*Only positive responses would be appreciated. I know a lot of people in here are 'anti-inductions' and I'm feeling pretty good about this decision, I don't need to hear any horror stories and get myself all freaked out. Thanks girls for everything this entire pregnancy. If it weren't for this community I surely would have lost my mind many times. I'll be sure to update when the little guy's finally here :)
