should I be feeling consistent movement yet?

Hi,

25 weeks with my first. I have been feeling the baby move quite a bit, but some days it is less frequent. It was having a dance party all weekend, but I haven't felt it much at all since Monday. This has happened a few times in the past, and I heard that it was probably a growth spurt or the baby was just sleeping more. Now that I'm further along, I am just wondering if I should be feeling consistent and constant movement yet. So I emailed my OB and asked if it's normal, and he said the baby should move 3 times an hour. He said I should lay down on my left side and try to count the movements.

Now, I love my OB (partly because I can have email conversations with him like this) but he's kind of a worrier. I know I don't feel all the baby's movements all the time because I have an anterior placenta.... I can feel it usually only on my right side, but I also felt a couple of kicks on my left side last week. So I guess my question is..... should I be feeling consistent movement yet? I heard that in the 3rd trimester, you should be concerned if the baby stops moving, but should I be concerned now? I'm trying not to be worried, but if I let my OB know I am worried, he'll send me for another ultrasound.
