The moment I found out I was pregnant and knew I was going to ask for a c-section. I researched it and found out the dangers and the insane recovery time and was fine with it. I have even spoken to my doctor about my particular situation and found out the policies they have. For me personally, she has said I'm at a higher risk of requiring a c-section than most people because of my size.
It wasn't until I found this community and another one based on traumatic deliveries that I realized how many people are afraid of or completely against c-sections. The majority of what I've found is that women think they aren't complete or enough woman if they can't deliver naturally.
So, I just wanted to get more options on c-sections. Not whether someone should or should not request one, but just your thoughts on it in general. I had no idea it was such a huge topic to so many people.
