Registering for 'natural' baby stuff

I'm 11 weeks pregnant today, so I have plenty of time to prepare for baby's arrival this December. However, family and friend are already throwing around the word 'shower,' and some gifts have even begun trickling in! My husband and I live a very minimal 'natural' lifestyle and have a super small house (1 bedroom), so we're hoping to keep our baby things to the bare minimum: cloth diapers and covers, nursing pillow, clothing, baby carrier/slings, car seat, blankets ... that's about it to start.

Since we're hoping to acquire so little, we also hope to get some pretty specific items -- some of which are a little pricey. We'll probably get a lot of hand-me-downs from friends with babies, and I imagine we could probably afford to buy the rest of it ourselves -- but this is the first grandchild on my side of the family and my husband's family LOVES to give gifts. Since most folks in our families aren't familiar with cloth diapering, etc., I think a registry would be really helpful to them. I think they want to buy us what we need, but probably don't really know where to begin.

So, natural mamas out there: any great recommendations for registering online? It seems like Amazon has a lot of options for linking to different websites, but are there any other great sites that offer a lot of good stuff in one place (and are easy to use)? Bonus points for websites that have actual retail stores in the Portland, Oregon area. Thanks!
