My mom does not seem to understand when I tell her I'm not doing something and continues to tell me why I should or need to. I need information to back up my decisions. That sounds awful because I should be more informed prior to making these decisions, and I promise I was, but when it comes to talking to my mother I seem to forget everything I've known. I need back up and more info.
1) My mom keeps pushing me to "start supplementing" with formula. I will not do this and have told her that numerous times. I told her he does not need it and is doing fine. She proceeded to go out and buy me formula. I need more reasons to give her, basically to get her to shut up. So why is it bad to give formula?
2) I know she'll be on me soon about rice cereal (seeing as how she already bought a box and my son is only 5 weeks old). Why should I not give him rice cereal? I have seen many reasons before and honestly cannot remember them.
3) And finally, I plan on waiting until at least 6 months to introduce solids but I know I'll get crap for this too. (My mom was giving my brother cereal at 2 months so I'm sure that discussion is right around the corner.)
Thank you so much!
