colostrum in second pregnancy...?
At the end of the second trimester with my first pregnancy, I started to leak a tiny bit of colostrum. This would have been around 28 weeks or so I believe. Now I'm nearly 30w with number 2 and have yet to start leaking. I know it's completely normal but I'm wondering if anyone else had this experience (not leaking with a second pregnancy).
I'm kind of looking forward to it honestly because my 16 month old daughter still nurses for comfort about once a day, but I know she'll nurse more once there's something there again. It's been a fight of sorts to keep her from weaning completely since there's no milk and little interest on her part. I'm looking forward to tandem nursing and I'm hoping that I'll start to leak something for her before the new one gets here.
Are hormones any different the second (or more) time around that would make it so I don't have anything until my milk comes in after birth?
