So I guess technically they arrived almost two weeks ago :)

Born October 23 at 35w4d:

Liana Faith Nuckolls
9:51 a.m.
6lbs 3oz, 19.5 inches

and

Teresa June Nuckolls
9:52 a.m.
5lbs 10oz, 18 inches

- Went into labor sometime late Monday evening
- Further augmented labor by having sex for the first time in weeks that night; husband no longer trusts me because I promised him sex wouldn't send me into labor, and while technically it didn't the coincidence has made him wary
- Stayed in denial about it until things were regular and starting to hurt around 5 in the morning Tuesday
- Woke Kevin up and still insisted on taking a shower/my sweet time packing a bag because I was still in mild denial
- Reached the hospital around 6:30 a.m., got checked into assessment, was put on monitors (and found to be having strong contractions about every 2-3 minutes)
- Got checked, was only a centimeter more dilated than at my appointment Friday, so more monitoring was ordered
- 15 minutes later had just enough time to yell TRASHCAN PLZ and started throwing up from hurt
- Got checked again after puking, had dilated 2+ centimeters more in under half an hour, was decided I was definitely in labor (and laboring quickly)
- My OB was called and my C-section ordered ASAP (twins still breech and transverse)
- We got cool surgery clothes, waited for my OB to get to the hospital, spoke with the anesthesiologist, called parents, and were soon wheeled into an operating room
- Kevin had to leave, I shook through my entire combination spinal/epidural and tried not to say something ironic to the nurse insisting I needed to lean forward more when my twin stomach was already squished against the bed
- Legs felt warm and numb fast, was set on my back, and once again was very nauseous; received first shot of Zofran in my IV
-Kevin was let back in and I was only aware they'd started cutting because I could hear the scissors they use for the rest of the skin after the initial incision (WEIRD)
- Pulling and tugging sensations were nauseating; received oxygen mask with alcohol-soaked sheet when I started heaving a bit
- And order for Kevin to look over the sheet with his camera, a large tug, screaming that sounded like a gurgling kitty cat, and Miss Liana Faith was brought around the corner for me to look at before being taken to a warming table
- Incredibly nauseating moment during which a surgeon apparently stuck most of his arm inside me to reach Teresa and pull her out of my ribs
- Another camera order, another weird tug, and Teresa June was born wailing and flailing like a spider monkey (there are pictures of this that I'll post later)
- Babies were assessed, my uterus was taken out of my body to be stitched and examined, I once again started dry-heaving and received two more shots of Zofran and something else before I stopped
- Tongue swelled, I couldn't talk, and became unconscious for all practical purposes (I could still hear everyone, but I couldn't open my eyes or respond to them)
- Liana weighed 6 lbs 3 oz; Teresa weighed 5 lbs 10 oz (turns out my ultrasound tech was right - they were pretty big for twins at 35 weeks; she was only off by an ounce on one and two ounces on the other)
- They took the babies to the NICU; Liana was having a bit of trouble breathing and some blood pressure issues, I think Teresa was just a precautionary companion
- I got wheeled into what was supposed to be a brief monitoring room before I got sent to my recovery room but ended up there for a few hours because my blood pressure dropped severely and I started hemorrhaging and the shots they were giving me (in the ass - they kept apologizing for the huge needles but I was still numb from the spinal) weren't really stopping it much
- Eventually slowed down to a satisfying bleed level and my blood pressure went back up, so I got wheeled to a recovery room on the NICU floor
- Got to really see and touch both my babies for the first time a few hours later in the NICU, but started hemorrhaging on their nice sterile floor again and had to leave and go through more stupid treatments and monitoring for the entire night

Worst picture of me EVER, just after being checked into assessment (pre-pukage, of course):

Watching a contraction on the monitor for shits and giggles:

And then they decided to section me... enter the PAINFUL HAND IV THINGY:

At least Kevin was excited:

LIANA!

LIANA!

My very-awesome OB. Pulling Teresa's head out of my body (YES I AM POSTING THIS):

WHY WOULD YOU MAKE ME LEAVE, MOMMY? (spider-monkey baby!):

WHY?

WHYYYYY?

Oh, this was me dumb and drugged in the meantime:

Liana Faith:

Teresa June:

And together (Liana has the oxygen mask on, they were being taken to the NICU here):

Kevin and his mom congratulating him while I was in that scary room:

Dad visits Teresa in the NICU for the first time:

Baaaabyyyy:

And Liana in the NICU:

Unhappy Liana:

Teresa in a normal bassinet, being discharged from the NICU:

The first time I got to hold her:

Kevin holding her:

And an at-home picture each!

Miss Liana:

And an alert little Teresa in her Boppy:

And a bonus picture of Teresa and I, which I will subtitle proof-that-my-body-does-not-like-maintaining-a-normal-people-weight-because-I-am-already-getting-scrawny-again:

I'm breastfeeding and consequently haven't really slept too much since they arrived (who knew, har har). And now I'm off to cater to my fussy, beautiful girls :)
