Bugsy is the second gym leader in the Johto region.
One important thing to know about their relationship is that it's mainly brotherly. Falkner is there to worry his ass off if Bugsy goes off and does something stupid. Falkner mainly backs onto Bugsy for help; Bugsy's research has helped him a lot.

Whitney is the third gym leader in the Johto region.
Whitney is, all in all, a girly girl. And while her crying makes Falkner want earplugs, he is happy that she's here. Even after the event, she's willing to try to force him out of the house to go do things. Incredibly boring things like go to a cafe like a loser. But things none the less. They are very good friends.

Lt. Surge is one of the Kanto Gym Leaders.
An electric type gym leader. Who is loud. And annoying. And doesn't know the meaning of staying inside and sleeping in. Not exactly on his good side... then again, who is, really?

Falkner's tormentor. She likes to tease and bug him. He doesn't really mind her, but sometimes she can get a bit annoying. Especially when teasing him. Overall, not a horrible person... but could sometimes do without.

They got off on the worst foot ever, Falkner blaming him for murder for one thing. Falkner really doesn't remember the situation, and really doesn't remember Shinjiro at all until they met. Falkner's willing to try to be friends... until the situation is brought up. After which, we'll see where it goes.

No just kidding. Tohma is a close friend. As close as one can have with Falkner. He knew him well before the ghost event, and thinks of him as rather close. If he could just stop tormenting Falkner about his communicator shocking him, they could be amazing friends.

Japan was/is his first crush. First the talk of fashion, and then Japan looked all nice and formal, which Falkner loved. They were teachers, assistants, and quickly became friends. Falkner soon asked him out, and now the relationship might be stuck. He still cares about Japan... but has no idea what to do next.
