Maybe they'll get a sense of humor and allow the ship to be crafted from giant Styrofoam cut-outs.

True but then you have to wonder about how much damage it would be able to take if this flood is going to have a bunch of debris swirling around in it.

Assuming they allowed for that method of construction, I would wonder if drowning us all wasn't their plan all along.
