[ One would think a girl with six older brothers would know how to shop for a teenaged boy. But one as poker-faced as Rudy Miller is difficult to read, even for Ginny, and in the end she settled on something a little outside of her usual ideas: comic books. In particular, one all about world domination (the man talks to his dog about it, what could be better?). Of course, Alexander the Great gets a gift too. It’s all been put in a red and gold gift box settled on top of these, for a proper English Christmas. The folded bit of parchment penned in quill and ink reads:
Happy Christmas, Rudy!
You’ve made it to your first Christmas in the City without going absolutely mental, and I know the first is tricky, but all the same… I hope you have a good one. We all deserve a bit of cheer here, I think.
I think I outdid myself with the wizard’s chess set for your birthday and I’m sorry this one isn’t quite as magical as all that, but I hope it helps you on your quest to world domination (sort of). And do try the mince pies, won’t you? They aren’t as good as my Mum’s but they’ll do!

She’ll hug you later, Rudy. ]
