The other one was Raphael. Donatello's the one I inherited, though.

Had they the same owner?

Not that I'm aware of. The one was friends with my former roommate's former roommate, though, and the other was his pet.

I am not quite sure I follow.

Boots was my former roommate. Anthony was his former roommate, before I arrived. Donatello belonged to Anthony, and Raphael was apparently his friend.

A friendship between turtles. All is possible here, I suppose.

It was an unusual turtle. It came with an attitude, too.

A pet turtle with an attitude. I have surely heard everything now.

You've seen cake rain from the sky and an invasion of rabid zombie sheep. A turtle with an attitude should be nothing new.

I prefer not to let myself become jaded by the things I have seen.

Unfazed is different from jaded, though.

Fair enough. Perhaps a turtle with friends is not quite so shocking after all.

Then it won't faze you when I suggest you should start serving Pepsi at your tea parties.

What is Pepsi?

A cold, sweet beverage. It goes well with salty foods.

I told that earl guy I'd bring one to tea and show him, too.
