Have you heard of anyone trying to do anything to the train? From the outside.

Reports from the surface have been few and far between.

Well, there's been talk of getting supplies to you lot. And I'm trying to think of ways the train could be stopped, but I don't know how that could happen without risking everyone inside.

... How're you holding up, Rudy?

Courtesy of Luke. I am aware of the rescue attempts, being the figurative 'man on the inside' of the operation.

I have been remaining close to Claire.

So... you wanted to know about malevolent spirits? No promise the ones from my world are anything close to whatever's at work here, but if you've any questions.

The current prevalent theory is that the train is behind the murders. I require information on possible methods of exorcising a train.

You mean you think the train is... what, possessed?

I am positing the theory that the train itself is malevolent and killing people.

And only when it stops. Could the City monsters be coming inside when the doors open, d'you reckon? Because if it's the train itself, I can't even begin to think of where to start.

Hence the problem.

The apparent methods used in each murder do not support the physical murderer theory, monster or otherwise. For one thing, it is unlikely that the monsters would be able to locate their victim without anyone noticing their presence, and escape accordingly. For another thing, Victim #4 indicated that there was no killer, which also undermines the physical murderer theory. Furthermore, it is unlikely that the monsters could have caused the blackout without an accomplice, which yet again points back to the train.
