Guess the doc wasn't kiddin' when he said there was gonna be a lotta new faces this week. So I guess I should toss out that I've gotta club right here--

[There's no mistaking that face or voice, but Phoenix isn't inclined to trust anything in this strange place. His eyes narrow, but he doesn't respond to Daxter. Instead, he notes the position of the marker then takes off to locate the club.

When he arrives there, though, he doesn't immediately press forward. Maintaining a casual air, he hangs toward the back - but there's nothing casual at all about the way he scans the club.]

[Daxter doesn't notice him right away...Being your own employee is busy work when you have no help. He's a regular little blur working the bar for a good minute or two before he settles to take a break.]

[Seeing him in person leaves Phoenix with little doubt. Jak's obnoxious rodent companion is the one running the bar. The confirmation does little to remove his suspicion, though. He had not gotten this far in life by taking anything at face value - and Daxter should not have had any time to take charge of a bar in this place.

Deciding there was nothing more to be gained by passive observation, Phoenix slowly makes his way up to the bar, trying not to draw attention, until he comes up behind the ottsel in question.]

You give yourself far too much credit. A little damage to my ship's engines hardly counts as blowing it up, though you do make me question if you managed to concuss yourself in the process. It hasn't even been three days since I last saw you with Jak.
