Hello, I decided to remaster this story, as the plot and characters were all over the place. I will change some things. I will be incorporating some scenes from an old story into this if I see fit or am proud of it; please don't think of me as lazy.
I'm planning to do 50 chapters like the show. Also, be aware that this fic might be darker than the original show. I will try to update chapters once a month. I will also not change Chapter 2, because, in my opinion, it doesn't need any changes.
Note that Tomo's name has been changed to Ritsu! Final edit, and I am happy with that name!
Disclaimer: I do not own Pretty Cure.

Gazing outside, her shoulder-length hair disheveled from her sleep, Nagisa grinned to herself as though remembering the cherry blossoms that were in bloom. Abruptly, she began to quiver and sneeze. With a sniff, she shut the window and started putting on her light blue police shirt. However, before she could even fasten the shirt, she looked at herself in the mirror, her gaze fixed on the diagonal scar over her chest. In an attempt to sense what's keeping her from going any further, the woman places her fingers on her chest, where her heart used to sighed and closed her shirt, fixed her silver three-star insignia on her shoulders, tied her tie, and placed her tiny bowl hat with an emblem on it. She turned around when she heard a door jeering open, a tall, dark-brown-eyed man with well-kept hair and a goatee on his chin smiled at Nagisa, and she returned the smile. He was dressed in blue business attire with a black tie and brown pants.
"Sexy and hot as always, Nagisa." He swept her into his arms, making her blush and chuckle. She quickly adjusts her husband's tie as he smirks slyly at her.
"Do you think Samurai Blue (1) will beat the South Korean butt?" she asked as she finished tying his tie. Fuji-P merely laughed it off, holding her hands and looking into her eyes. Nagisa continued to blush, despite being married to him for years, and she felt like a junior high schooler all over again.
"They're better. Oh, Saki left for school, but..." he stopped.
"...Kazumi's still asleep, huh?" Her eyebrows were wrinkled. With only a nod from Fuji-P, Nagisa stormed out of her room and gave her teenage daughter a loud knock on the door.
"Kazumi! She shouted, "Wake up already."
The girl's voice continued to moan about their parents interfering with her beauty sleep, "I don't wanna." When Fuji-P suddenly appeared from behind her, her mother rolled her eyes.
"Kazumi, don't make me come in there and drag you out."
With a challenge, Kazumi said, "Make me."
She pounded on the metal door and said, "You come out there, right now, young lady!" She urgently tries to input the room's password, but a metallic voice answers each time. "Access denied."
"Kazumi's still asleep, huh?" HA.er eyebrows were wrinkled. With only a nod from Fuji-P, Nagisa stormed out of her room and gave her teenage daughter a loud knock on the door.
"Man, it's such a pain to drag her out of her room all morning." Nagisa folded her arms and groaned.
"Now you know what your parents felt like." Fuji-P grinned and joked.
She pouted and asked, "What are you trying to tell me?"
The man extended his tongue. "Anyway, Nagisa, the reunion is quickly approaching. Feel excited?
"Not really. Even though it's wonderful to see everyone again, I can't help but feel uneasy." She averted her gaze. "Must be because of all the fan girls you had back in the old days." As Fuji-P smiled and laughed together, Nagisa became agitated once more as she reminisced.
When Nagisa was fourteen, she lost herself in her recollections. Her best experience in high school was definitely her junior year, excluding the homework and exams. She got up early to go meet her friends, so they could hang out, play lacrosse, and have lunch together. At that point, the majority of the girls looked up to her, and they would secretly slip a note into her shoe locker once a month to cheer her on while she played lacrosse. She remembers Rina, Shiho, Hikari, and Honoka's happy faces.
She felt at ease and safe around Honoka by that point. She always chuckled at Nagisa's antics or grinned happily at her reaction whenever she received chocolate parfait or other delicacies. She was the only person who understood her emotions and difficulties, despite the fact that they had nothing in common. The last time they saw each other was when Nagisa said farewell to her after she decided to leave for France with her parents. They have not contacted each other since. As the reunion approached, she was both excited and anxious to see Honoka and the others again. They were then able to act childishly, recalling earlier recollections and discussing their family life. She smiled again, shedding a few tears.
"Honey?" Fuji-P inquired, concerned, as he realized she had shed tears.
"I'm okay." She lied while wiping her teary eyes. She hated doing it, but she didn't want to be sad in front of him.
Fuji-P grasped her hands in both of his and looked at her, causing her to blush. "Darling…" He spoke and grinned. "Tell me if something's wrong; you know you can trust me, okay?" She nodded, indicating yes.
"I love you." He said. She smiled at him and replied with the same three words, plus one.
"I love you too." Her heart was racing; she was growing excited by that term, so she sighed heavily but sweetly.
"Do you really have to be all lovely-dovely outside my room?" Their kid, who poked her head out the door, interrupted them. Her brown hair was partially pushed back and away from her face, secured with a simple, dark hair tie. Except for a lengthy strand that flowed down the left side of her face and another that partially concealed her left ear, the rest of her hair was carelessly tucked behind her ears.
Fuji-P instantly freed his hands from Nagisa."A-a-anyway, Kazumi, do you have your GI (2)?" Kazumi nodded.
"Okay, hurry up; you'll get late." She spoke as if nothing had happened seconds before. Kasumi rolled her eyes.
"I'm leaving!" With that, the door automatically closed behind her, making a 'whoosh' sound before leaving. Her parents breathed a sigh of relief as their daughter left. Nagisa entered her daughter's bedroom and discovered chocolates, pocky packs, and snacks piled along with video game cases half-opened on the floor since the weekend. Nagisa groaned over her daughter. "Oh, Kazumi..."
Kazumi ran. She hurried as fast as she could to catch the bullet train. Looking at the cars going by fueled her desire to race them. As she arrived at the train station, she came to a halt and gasped for air, but the sound of takeoff distracted her. During her train ride to school, even though it only takes five minutes, she kept checking her watch to see if she was running late. Five minutes later, she exited the train and began to accelerate again. She looked at the clock, swearing as she ran and caught her breath.
"I don't believe this." She whispered to herself, glancing at her watch. Her bag often rubbed against her hip, which irritated her, but she attempted to ignore it. Her hair was a mess, but she chose to fix it once she arrived. Her hands swung sideways repeatedly.
She took a moment to gather her breath as her younger sister stood next to her, sighing and tapping her bag. Kazumi recovered and smiled sheepishly, holding her hand behind her head. Saki turned around to start walking when she noticed a girl with green face-contouring curly hair staring down at her Android phone, which was displaying a map. The girl had to sometimes look up to avoid bumping into strangers or objects. When her name was called, she turned back to face her sister.
The girl had to ask strangers, police officers, and classmates wearing the Verone insignia for directions to her new school. She looked up from her phone one more time and spotted the large structure from a distance, perhaps 10 minutes away. She sighed diligently before smiling broadly.
She was startled when she heard a metal crash and looked around, missing the rubbish that had been moving before it came to a stop. She noticed two girls approaching and conversing with each other, each with dark brown and orange hair and dressed in the Verone uniform. She began to calm down as they ignored the unusual sound she had heard. Perhaps someone dropped something at the construction site? Suddenly, a short black, spiky-haired girl with piercings dashed towards them, panting, while the dark-brown girl smirked and wrapped her arm around her shoulder. The younger girl simply sighed, and the sprinting girl began to pull her friend's cheek, a vein shooting up.
"Onee-chan, you're already in your second year; you need to be more punctual." Saki warned her. She had short hair and a single ponytail(3). The girls were close enough that the green-haired girl could hear them. They were too preoccupied to notice the girl, but she resumed her walk with them following her.
"Hey, I'm the older sister; I'm the one who's supposed to say that!" The sprinting girl responded, upset.
"Yes, but you're irresponsible as hell, Kazumi." Her pal laughed. Kazumi tried in vain to protest, but the green-haired girl in front of them couldn't help but laugh quietly at her antics. Kazumi froze in her tracks when her gaze fell on Shizuka, who was still staring at her phone. It took her sister and friend a few seconds to realize she wasn't with them anymore, and they ganged up on the unfortunate green-haired girl.
"Excuse me?" "Are you lost?" Kazumi interrupted the silence. Shizuka jolted and nearly dropped her android, surprised by the gang's abrupt presence. They seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.
"Y-yes, I'm looking for Verone Junior High School." She smiled politely. Saki stood in front of her sister and took control. "We are students there, and we can help you get there. You must be new to our town; my name is Fujimura Saki. She thumbed Kazumi, then the short-haired girl. "This is my sister, Kazumi, and her friend Ritsu." Ritsu gave her a two-finger salute.
"Yo."
"N-Nice to meet you, my name is Yukishiro Shizuka." I am new here, so thank you very much for your assistance." She bowed before putting her phone away. Ritsu appeared unrested for some reason, which drew the sisters' attention, and Kazumi gazed at her sheepishly.
"F-follow us." Saki beckoned to Shizuka as she followed the females.
As they walked past a trashcan, small hands opened the lid. When the two creatures stared at the teenagers, one of them gasped.
"I-I don't believe it-mipo...c-could it be?" The feminine voice said it tremblingly. A yellow mascot came from the trash container, placing a little hand on the pink mascot. "T-the Elder is never wrong-mepo..let's introduce ourselves-mepo."
The girls arrived at the gate and swiftly changed from their everyday shoes to school shoes. Shizuka, on the other hand, stood there awkwardly, observing what they were doing.
"Interesting...you change shoes when you enter the school." She mumbled.
"Yeah? "Aren't you Japanese?"As she slipped her shoes into her locker, Kazumi asked.
"Y-yes but I was born in France..." The other two cast a sidelong glance at Saki, whose eyes glowed.
"Oh no...I know that look." Ritsu glanced at Saki, while Kazumi looked at her sister, irritated. "Better go quickly before she starts asking questions." Shizuka lifted an eyebrow. "The Faculty Office is to the left; please go there and introduce yourself." "The teacher will handle the rest."Ritsu squirmed in the background while Kazumi continued.
"Now, Kaaazummi, let's move! I can't bear to be apart from my beloved Bruce. She pleaded out and pushed herself against Kazumi. Shizuka confusedly blinks.
"Fine, fine, let's go to class." A few teenagers stared and giggled as she forcibly dragged Ritsu, who was on her back. With a muttered "You and your stupid guitar..." Kazumi spoke. Shizuka moved from her spot to the faculty office in a few seconds. It wasn't too hard to figure out which door it was, even if Kazumi forgot to inform her. She took a few deep breaths and then opened the door.
"E-excuse my intrusion." She introduced herself as the teachers turned their attention to her. It worsened her anxiety. A woman stood up and picked up a clip; her shoulder-length brown hair was worn loosely, with some pushed back and secured in a butterfly clip.
"Yukishiro-san? I am Takashimizu Rina, your homeroom teacher. Her voice was full of excitement as she looked at Shizuka. The girl tilted her head, perplexed, while she smiled brightly.
"Oh, I'm sorry, you remind me of an old friend. Come, the class is about to start."
A few teachers strolled by them on their way to the classroom, but otherwise the halls were deserted. Shizuka could not resist taking a quick look at each of them. Rina halted and glanced up at the 2-1 sign that was hanging above them. This was it-her first day as a student in Japan. Shizuka started to hyperventilate, but she calmed down and came in with her when the teacher patted her shoulder and smiled encouragingly.
"Everyone, please be quiet," The teacher declared this as she entered the classroom and set her textbooks down. The green-haired girl followed the teacher to her desk and stood next to her.
"Before we start our homeroom, let me introduce you to the new transfer student. Please make her feel like one of us." Shizuka introduced herself to her students. Before walking towards her seat, which was behind Kazumi, she bowed gently in front of the class.
"I'm Yukishiro Shizuka; nice to meet you." Rina opened a textbook and wrote it on the board.
"Yukishiro-san." Shizuka stood up. "Can you solve this problem?" Rina tapped the math problem with chalk.
"6x+5+12x-6...what middle schooler can solve this? Although I don't doubt mom could..." Shizuka thought. She began to stutter and sweat as the entire class stared at her with eagerness. A chair screeched, breaking the silence.
"Teacher, the solution is 18x-1."
"As expected by Fujimura-san." Kazumi smiled as she sat down, and Rina typed the solution on the board. Shizuka smiled proudly at her, despite the fact that she had only just met her.
When the bell rang, Shizuka took advantage of the opportunity to discover an activity group that needed her expertise. Rina had stated that they began accepting members two days ago, thus it was an ideal time for her to transfer to Verone. When she walked down the hallway, her attention was drawn to the lacrosse team on the field.
A couple of people in the orange-haired girl's school, boys and girls alike, stood there. She was also the recipient of numerous love notes. Almost every day, she discovers a letter in her locker. She didn't understand why she never received letters from boys. The time had suddenly flown by, and the lacrosse team captain said there was only one minute remaining. The captain tossed the ball to the female closest to her-a girl with a single ponytail hanging out to the side.
She retained the ball, eluding every move, until she handed it to Saki. Shizuka happened to be passing by at the moment and noticed the game. Everyone cheered her on, with females yelling her name or screaming, 'You're the best, Senpai!' and boys saying, 'We love you, Senpai'. She couldn't concentrate on her training with them all around her.
"Saki, shoot!" The captain shouted. She caught Saki's eye and smiled broadly.
Finally, Saki regained her concentration in the game, and with only a few seconds remaining, she took the opportunity to shoot. The ball went in, and the supporters roared in delight and triumph. The girl waved her hands at her supporters, who screamed or fainted as she wiped her sweaty face with a towel. She received compliments from her teammates, such as a high-five or a pat on the back. She grinned as she wrapped her towel over her orange hair.
She raised her fist in the air as she yelled cheerfully, her teammates laughing with her. She's so cheerful and energetic.' Shizuka thought. She smiled at the young girl for the last time and descended down the stairs to the first floor. The first thing that caught her attention was the music club, but it wasn't something she was good at. She was about to continue when she heard a heavy riff coming from the room.
Curious, she peeked inside and saw Ritsu strumming her guitar. That must've been Bruce. Her guitar featured a solid mahogany body with a carved maple top and a single cutaway, a mahogany set-in neck with a rosewood fretboard, two pickups with independent volume and tone controls, and a stoptail bridge.
She didn't recognize it, but her club mates were listening to her intensely while tapping their feet. (4) Although it wasn't her taste in music, she bobbed her head before closing the door as silently as she could.
The other two rooms were Drama and Art, but when she approached the third one, it said 'Video Game Art'. Curiousity took over her again as she slid the door ajar as quietly as she could. Kazumi was glued to the computer, although she had her back turned from her, she could tell by the hair. A program was opened but was blank. Kazumi sighed and rested her hand on her chin. She opened the same program but with a different file with a rough sketch of a girl. Staring at the screen for a few seconds, she sighed deeper as her head slammed the keyboard.
"It's no good..."
Shizuka frowned but continued. It took all day but she couldn't find any clubs she was interested in. She went back to the classroom and picked up her bag, only to return to the entrance. She glanced at the trash can she came across in the beginning of the day. She shook her head, continued, and missed the ruffling sounds in her bag.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Yukishiro Shizuka." I am new here, so thank you very much for your assistance." She bowed before putting her phone away. Ritsu appeared unrested for some reason, which drew the sisters' attention, and Kazumi gazed at her sheepishly.zumi waved her hands around before trying to get him at;so., .Yeah,. You, . Let, , Mipo. Could;Yeahoff of her face. When she finally did, he held his little hand up, all calm.
"Hi. I'm Mepple-mepo." Kazumi threw the creature against the wall. He slid down slowly and landed on his head with his tail dangling. "Rude-mepo."
"Yeah, you're one to talk! Why'd you hide in my bag and just suddenly launch at me? And who are you?" Kazumi's yell echoed in the empty computer room.
The thing changed itself into a stuffed animal. "I am the chosen hero of Garden of the Light, Mepple-mepo!"
"Yeah, and I'm the queen of England." Kazumi muttered sarcastically.
"You were saying something, mepo?"
"Why did you come here, anyway?" Kazumi asked, changing the subject.
"Me and Mipple fell from the Garden of Light, mepo, to look for the legendary warriors, mepo." He said he was worried.
"Garden of Light? Never heard of it..." Kazumi uttered. "Of course, not mepo. No humans, except for the legendary warriors, know that."
"And who are these legendary warriors?"
Mepple ignored the question, turning to Kazumi.
"I can sense it-mepo!"
"Sense what?" Kazumi asked as she raised her head up. Kazumi sighed as she opened the door for him and picked him up. He transformed into a smart watch and placed himself on his wrist. Kazumi admired the watch. "L-looks expensive..."
"I'll lead the way, you navigate-mepo."
"Since when did I become your chauffeur?" she asked, insulted.
"Hurry up-mepo!" he exclaimed, inpatient.
Mepple pointed out the directions and explained what his business was here on earth. She climbed over a fence where a dangerous bulldog attacked any trespassers. She passed by a garden where couples were having a romantic time before Kazumi came and interrupted. She then walked across the street where there was no street lamp. Almost being hit by a car, Kazumi reached her destination and ran as Mepple navigated.
To Kazumi's surprise, the directions that Mepple pointed to led them to the park. She kind of knew that the creature was sensing evil, but it looked very peaceful.
"Fujimura-san." A familiar voice called behind her. Kazumi had recognized that voice anywhere. As she turned around, she saw Shizuka running towards her, along with the same creature as her but only pink. As Shizuka approached her, Kazumi quickly asked.
"You too?" Shizuka nodded.
"I found her lying by my door. She probably landed there, but I'm not sure."
"It's here-mepo!" Mepple yelled. At the exact time when Mepple yelled, a creepy looking person appeared out of nowhere in front of them.
"Come forward, Zakenna!" he cried aloud. The people around them disappeared as hundreds of trees around the park came alive, within five seconds. Kazumi and Shizuka froze, not knowing what to do.
"Transform-mipo" Shizuka's creature cried.
"How the hell are we supposed to do that?" Kazumi yelled.
They held hands together without noticing.
Dual Aurora Wave!
"Sense what?" Kazumi asked as she raised her head. Kazumi sighed as she opened the door for him and picked him up. He transformed into a smart watch and placed himself on his wrist. Kazumi admired the watch. "L-looks expensive..."uka, only with a white costume. Her hair was tied ponytail above her head, tied in a"Transform-mipo,-street,fence,, ;, and Kazumi's hair was a little longer than normal. After the transformations, they landed softly on the ground, saying.
Emissary of light, Cure Black
Emissary of light, Cure White
We are Pretty Cure!
Servants of the dark power
Return to the darkness from which you came!
"What in the... What's going on?" Black asked herself, waiting for White to answer, as she looked at her costume and at White. The creepy person gritted his teeth while swearing at the girls.
"Dammit." He took his chance, as his opponents were busy finding the answer to this situation. Luckily, they dodged the attack but did not have control of the balance in the air. Smoothly landing on the ground again, White jumped above him to attack first. Behind her, Black joined her and punched him low, while White punched high. One Zakenna tree pushed White aside, landing him wounded on the ground. "White!" Black exclaimed. The man suddenly had bombs in his hands and threw them towards White, but Black managed to save her. He continued to throw bombs, but they managed to dodge them.
She started to attack again, both with her feet and arms, but the enemy blocked it with his arms crossed. With all her might, Black tried to wound him just a little bit, but it was useless. It was as if he had a stone in his chest. White tried to approach them, but Zakenna kept her away. The person got an opening on Black, so he made his chance by hitting her hard on her stomach, making her fall down.
"Black!" White yelled. Black raised her head, noticing that the people had disappeared since the guy came. "Use the marble screw-mepo." Mepple said this when Black painfully stood up.
"How?" she asked while holding the pain in her stomach.
"Hold hands, mipo," Mepple instructed. At first, it made them embarrassed, but they didn't have any other options.
"Black thunder!"
"White thunder!" White and black thunder struck on their hands as they held it above their heads.
"Our beautiful souls," White spoke
"Shall crush your evil heart." Black finished. They squished the hands tightly as they continued.
"Pretty Cure Marble Screw!" The thunder increased, which destroyed the Zakennas and shattered them into small stars. The person dodged it and cursed, peeved while he yelled to the two girls. "I shall remember this! I am called Bakugeki! Remember this name, Pretty Cure!" Afterwards, he disappeared into thin air.
"Who are these?" White asked as the small stars passed by until they disappeared.
They turned back to normal middle school girls. Everything was quieter now that the person was gone. Kazumi and Shizuka found a spot to talk about privacy with Mepple without making the people freak out. When they turned into stuffed animals, Kazumi instantly asked.
"Now, what the heck was all that?"
"You two are the chosen legendary warriors, Pretty Cure-mepo." Mepple explained.
"Pretty Cure?" Kazumi mimicked. "The legendary warriors? That you mentioned earlier?" Mipple nodded.
"Now that you have been chosen as Pretty Cure, we will fight together against the darkness."
"And we are at your care, Mepo!"
"What! You've got to be kidding me!" Kazumi exclaimed.
Please let me know how this revision is and review!
So, I thought it'd fit for Nagisa to be a police officer, as she's all about bringing justice, and Fuji-P to be a sports journalist for football. I know it seems misplaced, but I imagine their future like that.
1) Samurai Blue is nickname for Japanese national football team
2) Gi or karate gi, is the traditional uniform used for Karate practice and competition
3) Based on the twins on Idol Master
4) Ritsu's taste of music is based on myself, so she was playing "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath
I'm highly confident that by 2028 (yes, that's four years from now on!) when the story takes place, schools will allow students to pursue in-school activities as game designers.
Kazumi's hair is based on Ellie from Last of Us 2
