clearly this is my punishment for spending half my day with cousins and friends instead of driving to my house.
also, before that happened, i discovered to my glee that the bbc lord of the rings radio series is too long for the trip, but it was timed so perfectly that when i stopped at the diner, gollum died, and i turned off the car.
