Really aggravated...
I read on msnbc there is going to be a second recall of Mattel toys- probably again mostly ones for babies/preschoolers. So far, we didn't have anything on the list.. but recently and probably stupidly bought a couple of fisher price toys. You know, hey, US greedy capitalists... How about you make sure that when you are paying people overseas peanuts to make your toys they at least don't put harmful contaminants on/in them. Since you're saving millions as it is, pay some schmuck $100,000 to keep a check on companies you're relying on.
It's like we can't buy anything anymore. Is it the poor workers fault? No- it's the big wigs on both sides. I have no problem giving people jobs. I DO have a problem giving them no money for their jobs plus allowing the product to be dangerous.
I usually don't get hyped about this crap but when I realize young kids are at risk for just PLAYING WITH A TOY, I get mad. Especially Lead.. it can cause serious emotional disorders and mental retardation. After it settles in the brain, it is no longer detectable through blood work so many kids, especially ones that live in old houses in our area, probably have lead poison that went undetected.
