Like.. Totally Outrageous!
So, I figured I'd better update since I have nothing better to do. I've been working on the house basically since my last exam, May 11. I finally got all my grades back- A in Modern Israel, A in Caribbean Literature, A in African Diaspora, and A- in my senior seminar on the Holocaust/Third Reich. So, I graduate Cum Laude with a 3.61! Which is pretty impressive since I have gone through a bunch of shit- moving, getting married, mental breakdowns, bulemia, massive weight loss, agoraphobia... just imagine what GPA I would've had if I actually was normal.
Anyway, so everything is in place in the house. This weekend we're working on my master bathroom and I'll paint the shutters. If anyone wants to see pics of the house, email me and I'll send em. I took pics of all the stuff we've done. So I did the guest room in black toile, the stuff Rach and D got me for the wedding! (yay!! love it!!) and did my bedroom in a different version of the black toile- the contrasting black roses and black plaid. I got these really AWESOME pics of like french fashion models from the 20's-50's, and these plates that go with em.. anyways, it's cool. Adds some femininity to the black and white. Sam's basement is slowly coming together in a nautical theme. Our PS2 died so we had to get a new one. NOW, the gamecube randomly cuts off for no reason. Like it overheats maybe? Anyway, I just bought the new harvest moon too. I was farming and then bam, it cuts off. And it's not the power cord. So, I may have to wait til later so that I can buy a new one.
No luck on a job yet.. nothing down here. I'll probably end up making babies or going to grad school. Who knows. The ideal plan is to get a job, and then start trying to have kids Jan. 2006. There just isn't much down here in my field- either anything relating to history or writing or human resources/management that's NOT retail in any way, shape, or form. Man, seeing how much shrek made last week, that makes me glad I don't work at a theatre anymore!! :)
Saw the video for Float On by Modest Mouse. I really like their music.. but, the vocals take a bit to get used to. But the music is pretty beautiful. I'm now watching the Degrassi marathon... for those of you that are normal and have never heard of it, Degrassi is a Canadian show that started in the 80's about these kids in a high school. Anyway, years later, they made the new generation. It's kind of lame, but strangely addicting. You have to hand it to the Canadians though... they're frank- they talk about gay sex, sex, rape, and everything in between like it's talking about pizza. Where as here, you say nipple on the radio and you get fined. Maybe if kids new about sex, they could have it responsibly.. but no, can't talk about that, it's dirty..
