the status quo is not neutral

dear mumsy-wumsy

you know, it's weird, because you're not actually here it's like i'm actually writing you a letter. i'll have to do it quickly though because i have a routine now you see.

and i'm beginning to settle into it. i've been getting up stupidly early at the moment. i fought it for a little while but i've decided to embrace the starting the day at 7am.

i was in the city at commuter-time yesterday, it's a bit scary. it's like a stampede, or perhaps more like cattle being herded with metcops selecting certain animals to take aside and hassle. i didn't approve.

anyway, ben and keithi were at home so i played with them for a while. keithi has grown up since the last time i saw her (a week ago). it's wrong. but also very very cute. she found one of our god-awful books that make siren noises. i think a tragic, inexplicable accident may have to happen to it.

i'm enjoying it here at BMDI house, inasmuch as one can enjoy the situation. it's really nice spending lots of time with hel and organising my life in the new place. It already feels like home.

And uni is starting again, and I'm at the department on friday. all the parts of my life are shifting into gear, the holidays are well and truly over.

i have many stories to tell you but they can wait until we see each other again.

love
han
