This "National Immigration Day" thing that's going on today (I think that's what it's called) kinda bugs me. It's all of the people around the nation that are rallying at state houses to get lawmakers to vote to allow the illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. What bugs me is that fact that we're supporting "illegal" activity. If people want to come into the U.S., they should apply for a VISA and wait until they are allowed into the country, not sneak into the U.S. and hide out and take all of the low-level jobs that some legal Americans need. What about the people who are waiting patiently for their VISAs to come here? Their chances are lessened when we have to deal with illegal immigrants who have no sense of "doing the right thing" by coming here illegally. Ok, I may be babbling, but it's true. Why should we all of a sudden say, "You know what? You came here illegally and there are other people waiting and biting their nails to get here, but since you're already here, we'll let you stay. Nevermind there's a proper way to do this, but we're gonna reward you for being wise enough to outsmart the system. Please stay. You're not breaking the law. It's ok. You probably don't know the law because you can barely speak any English, I wouldn't expect you to be able to read in English. Welcome to America." It's just not right.
