My Marionette
by: Patrick McAlpine
Suspended by string
she sways and she swings
to the song that I sing
unable to resist.
And though she may fight
I can see the delight,
a smile painted on bright
the lips I created, then kissed.
Though some may think I am small
for the way that I treat my doll,
making her struggle and crawl,
but here is the twist;
though I may seem unkind
in the way I keep her confined
she yearns to be intertwined
as she is restrained by the wrist.
