i forgot how to speak with

there's always a mishapened cloud
aboard a lightly dimmed sky
stained with words of romance
sleep is forbidden
counting is for forgotten
as the blood consumes my vision
i can only compare my life
and that of a blank stare
continual acts of defiance
only provoke the burning in my
heart
in a day that was forgotten
i gladly lay my love for the
brief moment of clarity
i gladly let the words bleed
through my eyes to show
that there is no threat.....
