oops
so, i forgot that saturday was the first night of passover. so, i whipped together my first sedar. it rocked! WHF and m attended, and we had roast lamb with roasted rosemary potatoes and broccoli with garlic-honey-butter sauce and my charoset kicks ass! yum. and i hid the afikomen and WHF and m searched for it; i ransomed it back from m with $5. and i downloaded a haggadah from the internet, so it all worked out well. i'm surprised that i could recite as many of the prayers as i was able to; maybe if i have some time this summer *snicker* i can get someone *coughkatecough* to help me with my hebrew. what i really need to do is make flashcards and practice.
anyway, the sedar was lovely and i was really pleased. m and WHF both told me that it was lovely and i was so proud of myself to finding a real lamb shank to roast for the sedar plate. note to self: when finally settled, buy pretty sedar plate with lots of spots for the appropriate items. and maybe one of those cool matzoh plates, too. awesome. what i'm really proudest of? we made it through the whole sedar with only one bottle of manischewitz. and i think i finally figured out what's been happening to the wine in elijah's cup after all these years...
