Yesterday was so nice! I met Rhi for lunch and afterwards we spent about an hour laying the the grass talking/discussing/complaining/giggling. I love our little dynamic. We were sad that I would have to go soon, since it was such a nice day, but then I got a call from the mom I babysit for and she said I didn't need to come in that afternoon! Now thoroughly excited we decide that we should go somewhere, and Rhi said that she wanted to take me somewhere special. So we made a quick trip to my house for some supplies and headed over to what Plant and See. I was confused at first, but it really was a neat place. How many gardens do you see around Greenville!? So a nursery would do, and this place was really neat. They had some pretty sculptures and fishies and moss and neat plants... Oh did we have fun. We pranced around the place like faeries. We came across one covered green house thing that was FULL of poinsettias, but there were really young, but very pretty. There was red tape in front of the entries, but we went in anyway; it was too pretty! The ones that would be red were so pretty, some leaves had as many as 10 colors! We decided they were too pretty to pass up, so we were going to try and buy some. We had a short adventure to obtain cash (as they only took cash or check), finding dremel bits, crunchy things, and pumpkins. There was an empty lot that had sold pumpkins, and there were random rotting pumpkins left there, so we decided to see if there were any we could scrounge up. We lucked out in finding two large pumpkins and I found an assortment of neat little gourds. It was fun trompling through the rotting pumpkin patch! Once we were back in the car, complete with pumpkins buckled in the back, we ran over some of the rotting ones in the road. We're silly, I know. So, we went back to Plant and See, got the plants, and headed back to her place. It was an awesome afternoon! Today, not nearly as awesome, but hey, everyday can't rock. I did get my bok I'd been waiting for so that Sorcha et al. can begin our year and a day study, which I'm very excited about. For now, I need to go check on the squash I have roasting in the oven!
