So after years of talking the shit out of it, Seth and I are finally getting a project off the fucking ground. Read, actually have nearly two songs in the works right now. Calling the shit "Patterns of Failure." Mostly as a nod to my absolute favorite grind song ever of the same name by Pig Destroyer, (And because Seth really wasnt comfortable with "Rape Crisis Center".) The project is going to more of beat driven power noise thing. Sort of a dirty and less experienced Gridlock type thing. Though truth be told, I would like to incorporate other elements into it, but it all depends on what Seth can and cant do. Probably will be hitting a few people up for help in some areas with it. But for the most part, I plan on this sounding very rough and raw, so Im not overly concerned with the final product sound. Not to say that I dont care what it sounds like, but Im aware fully of both of our severe limitations in doing this, so Im hardly expecting a masterpiece and dont plan on beating my head against a wall to get it.
Mainly we re doing this solely for ourselves and how well it is received doesnt matter to me a whole lot. Mostly I want to do this to get some shit out that has been rattling around in my head for awhile. Basically Im going to be that guy that lambastes the piss out of several of my failed relationships on an album. And I mean this to the point that I literally plan on just naming the specific songs after the particular women that inspired it. Very mature, Im aware.
Hopefully in the next several months Ill have shit to put up that somewhat resembles a finished product, and Im fairly sure I will. Seth and I are both dead set that this HAS to happen.
