Hey everyone...
I want to say thank you so much for being so supportive of me during this tough period of life. I am so thankful to have caring friends. Even friends who pretend you are Yarg (MV), but yet care anyways.
This has all been so unexpected for me, but then again "who am I to understand the road I travel? It is the LORD who directs my steps". Proverbs 20;24 I think this verse speaks many words.
If you don't know.. Recently, we discovered my leg has an infection. The doctor had given me 2days for it to start getting better. It got better, but today when I went to the doctors he was not happy with it. The infections looks as though it has spread. So tomorrow at 4 o'clock I will be having surgery again. He's going in and cleaning the whole area and wil be placing a tub in my leg to let it drain. The tub will be their for about 2 days. If all is well I should only be in the hospital for about 2 or 3 days. But (theirs 2 "buts" here) 1.) During the cleaning surgery he is going to look at the plate in my leg and if it looks like the infection is getting to it, he will take it out during that surgery and place this bar thingy in my leg. 2.) If about 2 days after the surgery and the infection doesn't look cleared up, I will have to have surgery again to get the plate out and the bar in.
Well as you can see this isn't just easily accepted... I am trying hard to just allow it all into Gods hands and not my own. I am His. That's all that matters. I wanted to share something with you that encouraged me. I ran across this in this girls tiffany myspace Blog.
Note: After reading this please don't think I am saying that I think God broke my leg, because really I don't know. He's GOD, He may have and He may not have.. Either way I know that God works ALL things (not just some things but ALL) for the the Good of those who love Him.
Anyways, here it is..
"The bible says that we are like sheep right? and Jesus is our shepherd! right? still following? in Jesus' day if a young lamb wandered off of the path that the shepherd was on, the shepherd would go find him and rejoice and put him back with the rest of the sheep...but if the young lamb continually wandered the shepherd would hit the lambs leg, and break it... so it wouldn't wander anymore... the shepherd would carry it, keep it close and take care of it until it was ready to join the rest of the sheep again. but by that time, the little lamb trusts the shepherd and will not run off anymore."
This blessed me in different ways. It's so good to know that God holds us close when we don't feel it the most. If God has to bring you back or break your leg, then you must be dong something wrong and you would think punishment would be Him distancing Himself from us, but instead He draws us close. Distance is the very thing He doesn't ever want.
Ok, I could keep going but I will bring this to a close. Please pray. I know I don't really need to ask that, but this is tough.. and very humbling. Thank you. Thanks for listening, and caring.
I Hope all if well with you guys.
