[The camera turns on and Rose sits back in her newly reacquired desk chair, not really paying attention to the communicator just yet. It’s obvious that she’s talking to someone else at the moment. The camera moves back, showing Doctor Crane just for a moment.]
I don’t care what the Admiral sounds like; only a woman could be so intuitive about inmate choices. [She gives a small roll of her eyes and starts to adjust the angle. She’s about to talk to the camera again, but is interrupted by Crane’s response.]
That’s ridiculous. He’s a man. That’s the only way he could have such control issues. [Rose is sure to turn the camera on him just as he huffs and then she gives the audience a “this is what I have to deal with” look before delivering her retort.]
And you would know all about that, Doctor Crane. [It’s obvious that she’s quite satisfied with her answer, despite the glare she’s receiving. In fact, the glare seems to make her happier. But at least she’s finally able to do what she set out to do.]
A question for you, the general population. The Admiral, gender aside, is probably the most important person in our lives now. And yet we know nothing about [she glances to Crane quickly and then back to the camera] this person. So, for those who have been here the longest, what do you think about this person? Human? Not? And…motivation? What does the Admiral get out of “helping” us?
[Private to the god Loki- written later, when Crane’s not nearby]
I need to beg a favor, my dear Loki. Shall I send a prayer your way?
