Britains got talant - update and thanks

Feb 03, 2010 21:08

Well my audition is on monday, which I'm strangely nervous about, possibly because I've been working like a total bastard to get it up and running.

I say 'strangely' because frankly I'll be amazed if I get past the judges (I estimate my chances at approx 30%) and the chances of me getting to the semi's are mathimatically insignificant

However what has been incredible is the vast ammount of help which people have given me for this audition, so whichever way it goes I just wanted to publically give a full list of thanks..

1)Everyone who donated to my bed of nails fund. It's almost finished and is looking good and is a LOT easier to use than my last one. Everyone who donated may borrow it whenever they wish and if they ever need a favour consider it done

2)Kat: Loving girlfriend she is she's given me a lot of advice and not pulled her punches on constructive critisim. She's helped me craft my image for this show, helped make modificaions to my outfit and has helped choreograph my show. This dispite her medical worries, and work being complete bastards to her of late

3)Ben Nairn: Most of you don't know ben but he's a great friend of mine from my Krav Maga class. He's helped me with transport, taken time from work to help me with the show and when I idly mentioned that an axe would look better than a sledgehammer for the stunt he ordered an axe and had it posted to me, prince among men.

4)Red: Has helped lots over the years but utterly bailed me out today by lending me tools that I needed last minute and provided the ultimate distraction by buying me coffee over lunch when my mind was going a million miles an hour

5)Kjersti: Has been generally awesome as always and has helped me with musical advice and constructive critisim.

6)Giolla: Where do I start...This man has spent a lot of his spare time custom designing and building props specifically for this show, at considerable expense (when I said I can't afford for him to do it he wouldn't hear of not doing it and simply said 'just pay me back when u can')
He even valiantly tried to get time off work to help me on the day.
He also built my pyro fire staff holder for whitby, and when things went awry gave up the fri AND sat nights at whitby to be my assist and the stage hand.
Not to mention the cool new weapon he bought me :-D
Couldn't have done any of this without him

John Tyrell: After many fruitless hours of trying to custom mix music for this show john stepped in and did it in nothing flat, bless his cotton socks

Thank you all
