my heart's in overdrive and you're behind the steering wheel

I went to Counter Revolution yesterday and saw Panic! at the Disco headline! Almost every band on the line-up were doing signings that you could get with a donation to Camp Quality. My friends and I got tickets (and one for laenij who was stuck at work until the afternoon). The signing was in the evening about two hours before they were meant to hit the stage, so we left the festival, gallivanted around the city until The Damn Things were meant to be on and got back in time to see hellogoodbye's set!

Watched some of the other bands, then went to the signing and the Panic boys all seem so happy. They were so smiley and talkative. Zack gave me a high five! :D And if Spencer Smith smiles and you are less than a couple of feet away from him, prepare to be dazed.

Raced through the crowd during Yellowcard after the signing, and got close to barrier and suffered through the All Time Low pit to get on barrier for Panic! :DDDD (I smelt so bad at the end of the night though. Worse than any other pit I've ever been all the way through. Absolutely disgusting and I couldn't even shower when I got home because I would have woken everyone up - our shower head got changed and it is so loud now /o\). The set was a mix of Fever and V&V with one Pretty. Odd. song. THEY PLAYED NEARLY WITCHES AND IT WAS AMAZING, and we had the option of That Green Gentleman or New Perspective because they had enough time left to add an extra song and the crowd went mental for New Perspective.

And the banter and stage antics were adorable. It was so worth getting through the crowd and I am so desperate for a proper tour here. I have missed them so much.

I managed find a video with fairly decent audio from the Sydney festival of their I Believe In A Thing Called Love cover. It's not fantastic, but it's the best I've heard so far (I'll keep trawling for better versions out there from the later shows once they get uploaded) so I ripped and converted it. I am so hoping that the boys record a studio version soon. Link!

And now it's the weekend and I am having a lazy Saturday and not getting dressed at all. Except maybe to go for a bike ride later. It's cold and a little gloomy outside though, so we'll see.
