I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 three times over forty-eight hours. I love that my flist is full of Harry Potter again and I would have had this up sooner but I've literally been going work-movies-sleep-work-movies-sleep-work-movies-sleep. There is so much to catch up on.
The midnight session was probably the best because of the enthusiasm and anticipation. The work session was good because it was free and then last night was brilliant because of the people we were with even though I was exhausted. I AM SO EXCITED FOR VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER. :DDDDD
I spent most of the midnight session sneezing (yay allergies) and crying and jumping out of my seat. It is not for children, and with how the films have been progressing, I'm not sure how anyone could consider bringing a five year old along - the Nagini as Bathilda Bagshot scenes terrified me. We had so much cheering and laughter and applause in the midnight session. The crowd was perfect aside from about ten dude bros several rows in front of us being dicks a couple of times.
It is one of the best films out of the seven and I am so impressed with the trio because of how perfect they got it this time around. Emma Watson has improved so much and my heart broke at the beginning of the movie when she was changing her parents' memories. Bill Nighy was amazing and I enjoyed the lack of subtlety in the disappointment when Scrimgeour gave Harry the Snitch. I was very impressed with Jason Isaacs and how destroyed Lucius is as well as Draco being so utterly afraid of his actions and what will happen.
The twins were fantastic &George; I really loved how they did the tale of the three brothers and the Seven Potters scene. Daniel Radcliff was perfect as all of the other characters - you could tell easily who was who. "Engorgio... REDUCIO!" Bellatrix was insane and the torture of Hermione and her screams ;_____; They stayed fairly true to the books and it all flowed well and the "yay camping in the forest!" didn't drag which is where I was worried we might get bored.
:DDDDDDD: JULY IS TOO FAR AWAY.
Three times in such a small amount of time may have been overkill but I think I could happily see it again in a few weeks time with my family.
My Chemical Romance's video for SING was released and their album came out here yesterday. When the album leaked earlier in the week I could only manage to get one listen of it from start to finish (because of the Harry Potter overload) so today I have it on. It is perfect for blasting at high volumes in the car. And I want to run around with this playing.
Stand outs are SING, Planetary (GO!) and Na Na Na. But I do like The Kids From Yesterday and the start of Vampire Money makes me laugh - Gerard what is with your pronunciation? I didn't like Party Poison much when it first started but by the end I really liked the beat.
I really like SING and the video for it, but the Killjoys are dead and are likely to be reanimated. And I was all the Party Poison/Korse in the world. I want to know what will happen next and have been sucked into the world so quickly that if there isn't any sort of resolution I'm going to be a little disappointed.
I was hoping there would a tour date in April that would coincide with my trip to the states again but no such luck.
This week coming up the weather is going to be beautiful most of the week which is resulting in a mixed reaction since my hay fever is playing up so badly. But it's also packed full of family events like my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary! Should be fun.
