It ain't easy livin' the thug life!
After court last wednesday, I decided to take the offer from the Commonwealth. My lawyer suggested I did as the judge could have been a bitch. The offer is this; 30 days in jail which I am serving on the weekends and already have done 5 when I was first arrested. This totals to 25 days or 12 weekends + 1. I already served one of the 12. $500.00 fine + court costs, enrolling in ASAP and receiving a restricted license in 4 months, with loss of full license for 3 years. If this is good, I would hate to see what the judge may have given. In all, I made out great. I will be happy to have this all done with. One thing all addicts/alcoholics know, is never say NEVER. However, I will say I will work extremely hard at not letting this happen again.
Though I dreaded this weekend, it went by well and quick. To top it off, I received extremely great news on Friday from work. My company Sodexho was bought out to Benchmark and all of my colleagues interviewed to keep their positions. After the long wait, I was notified they would love to keep me and better yet, they are offering me more money!! About $2.50 more. Pretty sweet! I am also applying to the school of my choice to study Mortuary Science. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I truly believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. As said by many, the only way out, is to go through!
