A great weekend!
So I know I don't update this thing often. But I have a bit of time today and I had the BEST birthday weekend. It started Friday at work where I sttod up for myself and got to work outside again!! Yay! Then I went to Mary's birthday party and had a blast. We learned a new Irish folk dance and played fun games and had cake and tea!! Then Saturday came and Chris got to come home so we went to the football game and had loads of fun cheering on our soon to be SEC East titleists!! (Sidenote: I love football) That evening Cat made us a WONDERFUL chicken dinner that we ate with Melissa and Lily. Then, Cat, Chris and I picked up Cat's date David and went salsa dancing! Whoa fun! It is so tiring but so amazing! I hope we get to continue doing stuff like that in the future!
Sunday was pretty great as well. It is always nice waking up in the same household as Chris so my day started well. We went to breakfast and then I went to church and heard the youth sing one of my favorite youth choir songs. Then Geoffrey Burdett remembered my birthday and told me so!! Then Marshall, Ryan, Melissa, Lily, and I went to Chili's for lunch and I was so grateful that they don't do embarassing birthday stuff there. I got a wonderful picture frame and a funny card from Melissa and a great mix cd from Lily. Then Chris met us and we all went to see Harry Potter Goblet of Fire....in one word...amazing. Then we went back to my house and played speed scrabble, which I think is more fun than regular scrabble. Krista came and joined us and I opened Marshall and Ryan's gift so Ryan coudl go eat with his family. They got me a guitar/vocal/piano Disney songbook!! AND Wicked the novel. I have such amazing friends! Then Mom came home and we worked on getting dinner ready and eating it. Also....amazing. Then I opened up more presents and got a great jacket and movie tickets from my mom. I got a beautiful ornament from the Herwigs. I got a great necklace from the Smith's. AND Jen and Ben and Marshall got me an AWESOME cowboy hat with the superman S on it!!!!! It is pink and awesome! But the best present was getting to spend time with the people I am closest to and Chris coming home just for me. I love that boy so much.
